I'd HIGHLY suggest getting the LCG chassis conversion kit...ESPECIALLY if you plan on going 3S, to our higher. Also, if you're planning on running 4-6S, I'd strongly recommend going work a lower kV motor.

I run a 6S capable system in my Slash 4x4 Monster Truck (Castle Mamba Monster X + 2200kv) but I find more than 4S to be mostly pointless. Maybe if I had it setup for speed runs in a straight line on the street, but I can't think of any other practical application. With that said, a 6S capable system is great for running 4S.

    ^What he said.

I have run MM2 and MMX ESCs with Castle 2200kV and Tekin 2250kV motors on 3S and 4S LiPos. Good times!

Works fine on a HCG chassis..just recently did this exact setup myself running 20/54 gears...as stated above 4S will be all you need as I would need TWO Walmart parking lots to run 6S..
Of course upgraded diffs and metal drive shafts highly recommended..
Outperforms some of my other 4S rigs and no heat worries

I didn't even need a mounting plate for the ESC..on the hcg chassis the holes in the ESC line up with existing nubs in chassis...just need a tad longer screws..Depending on the motor you use if the motor mount is thicker than stock you may have space issues and will have to use an esc plate
